The ranking was super tough on this one, all these places are great and have different qualities, but their pizzas are super good and you can’t go wrong with any of these places ! Buon appetito !
1. Popine
There are 2 Popine restaurants in Paris, one in Ménilmontant (east side of Paris) and one close to Montmartre. As in most restaurants in Paris, they’re not huge and you might be sitting close to your neighbors, but be sure you’ll forget that once you try their pizza. A delicious tomato sauce with fresh ingredients and only high quality products, any pizza on the menu will be greatly appreciated. Also try the tiramisu which is not too sweet or too intense in coffee, the perfect treat to end your meal !

2. Pizzeria Iovine’s
With 3 restaurants in Paris, Iovine’s is becoming a classic around the city, and that’s definitely well deserved as you can have a sweet taste of Italy’s best pizzas. Be sure to book in advance, especially in Chatelet/Louvre or you might have to queue.
Good ingredients, and a beautiful selection of unique pizzas with bold topping choices, Iovines will please the classic Margerita lover as well as those who want to spice it up a little and try new things ! Try La Iovine’s if you love a pizza with lots of meat or the Valtellinese if you want an explosion of flavours.

3. Peppe Pizzeria
Wanna try the world’s best pizza ? Let’s go to Peppe Pizzeria, where Peppe, a Napolitan Pizzaiola worked countlessly in order to create the best possible pizza, and luckily for us, he has now settled in 3 different places around Paris!
Here you have lots of choice and you’ll probably struggle to order as all of the pizzas sound great, maybe you should try the « Campione del mundo » which was litteraly awarded world’s best pizza in a recent international contest. In any case you can’t go wrong with Peppe Pizzeria, the restaurants are as beautiful as the food and you’ll be sure to keep great memories from an evening spent there.

4. Anima
Looking for a cosy place in Paris West side, afer a long day of walking around the city ? Anima is a rather small but beautifully decorated place with marble all over the place, this restaurant offers great pizzas, but also pasta and great desserts too!

As all places in this article, the pizzaiolo is « davvero italiano », with an impressive pizza oven that you can’t miss when you get in, Neapolitan pizzas will get out of there with a soft, airy dough just to die for. Prices are a bit higher than in most of the pizzerias, as this area is a bit fancier as well, but you’ll be sure to get a great lunch or dinner when getting there.

5. Guillaume Grasso La Vera Pizza Napoletana
The Grasso family are pioneers of Neapolitan pizzeria-trattorias in Paris. After the Second World War, a branch of the Grasso family left Naples for Paris, settling in the lively Saint Germain des Prés district. They were among the first to introduce the concept of Neapolitan pizzeria-trattorias to the French capital. Today, they offer much more than just a pizza. Each dish served is a piece of history, a family recipe refined over decades. The restaurant is one of the very few that are « Vera Pizza Napoletana » approved, a label made to protect and promote this essential part of the Napolitan cultural heritage.
Long story short, if you want to bite in a true piece of history, Rendez-vous to this beautiful and authentic restaurant in the south of Paris in order to get a a memorable meal.

6. Daroco
Looking for a fancy date ? Daroco is your go-to place, situated near the Louvre Museum, Daroco offers a sophisticated dining experience with a focus on traditional Italian cuisine. Their thin-crust pizzas topped with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil are a must-try. You have to book in advance, but the service is great and you’ll be in an amazing and rather big place, just next to the Galerie Vivienne, one of the most beautiful galeries in Paris.

7. La Felicita
Let’s go to the South East side of Paris now, a quite underestimated neighborhood which is becoming more and more trendy. If you want to spend a fun night and have great food, La Felicita is the place to be, many parties and themed events are organised there, from karaoke to dance nights and concerts, you’ll never get bored in La Felicita.
Of course, if you’re looking for a quiet and calm place to eat, this is not the place for you as there can potentially be hundreds if not close to a thousand people under the same roof. La Felicita is indeed huge and is more a foodcourt than an actual restaurant, you can get fresh pasta, foccacias, even burgers and a great selection of drinks and of course pizza ! All of this, with fresh and high quality products coming directly from Italy. Don’t forget to get in the dessert train, where you can have amazing Italian ice cream and try the fluffy lemon pie « meringuée ». As everything in this place screams originality, be sure to take a little tour to the bathroom, you’ll probably never see toilets like that!

Okay, Instagramers, this place is made for you, great food, and a beautiful decorations with thousands of delicately enlighten bottles that give Pizzeria Popolare a unique mood and that will make your feed look unique! The place is always crowded (thus not the most calm restaurant) and you might have to queue to get in, but it’s worth the wait, the pizzas, and all meals are excellent and this will definitely be a night to remember.
